Refund Policy

Version 1.1 · Last updated: 24 August 2026

This page explains when you can get your money back for a Hike paid plan, how to ask, and how long it takes. It is short on purpose.

Hike is operated by Muhammad Zohaib Ashraf, trading as Hike, based in Karachi, Pakistan. Payments are handled by Polar, who are the merchant of record for every purchase. That means Polar Software, Inc. sells the plan to you, Polar appears on your card statement, and Polar processes refunds. Their buyer terms apply alongside this page.

1. Changed your mind: 14 days

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason. You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to have stopped using Hike first.

This covers your first payment on a plan and every renewal after it. The 14 days run from the date of the payment you want refunded, not from the date you signed up.

2. How to request a refund

Polar is the merchant of record, so the refund itself is issued by them. You ask us, and we arrange it.

  • Email us at tech@pintarlabs.io. Include the email address you bought with. That is the whole process; there is no form to find and no account to log into.
  • Your invoices are in your billing portal, which opens from Settings → Billing.

We do not make you argue with a payment company to get your money back.

3. How long it takes

Once a refund is approved, Polar returns the money to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers set their own timing, and it is usually 3 to 10 business days from approval, though some issuers take longer.

You will get an email from Polar when the refund is issued.

4. Renewals

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.

A renewal is a payment, so the 14 days apply to it. If a renewal charged you and you did not want it, ask within 14 days of that charge and you get it back.

We would rather you did not get charged by surprise at all. Cancelling before the renewal date stops the next payment, and you keep everything you paid for until the end of the cycle you already bought.

5. When we will refund beyond the 14 days

The 14 days are a floor, not a ceiling. Outside that window we will still refund where it is the right answer, including when:

  • Hike was substantially unavailable for a meaningful part of the period you paid for.
  • A feature you bought the plan for did not work and we could not fix it.
  • You were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same period.
  • Somebody used your card without permission. Tell us and we will refund it and help you secure the account.

Ask, and tell us what happened. We read these ourselves.

6. When we may decline

We may decline a refund where a request is clearly not made in good faith, for example repeated buy-use-refund cycles on the same account, or where an account was suspended for the things section 11 of the Terms of Use prohibits.

We do not decline because you used the product. Using Hike inside the 14 days is exactly what the 14 days are for.

There is no restocking fee and no partial-refund penalty. Nothing on this page makes a purchase non-refundable.

7. Your statutory rights

Wherever your local law gives you a right to cancel or be refunded, that right applies regardless of anything written here, and nothing on this page asks you to give one up.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. Digital content is an exception where you have asked for immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the withdrawal right by doing so. We do not rely on that exception. The 14 days in section 1 are given voluntarily and are at least as good as the statutory right, so the question does not arise.

8. Cancelling instead of refunding

Cancelling and refunding are different things.

  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the cycle you have already paid for.
  • Refunding returns money you have already paid.

You can do both if a payment has just gone out. Cancel to stop the next one, and ask for a refund on the last one.

You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing inside Hike, or from the billing portal that opens from there. Cancelling takes the same number of clicks as subscribing did, and we will never make you email us to cancel.
